Furniture For Your Home, And Your Future
When it comes to furnishing your home, it’s more than just choosing pieces that fit your current style. It’s about creating a space that evolves
As we delve into 2022 let’s take a look at some of the trends we can see taking root, with our influences over the past couple of years coming from a more concentrated view of the world thanks to all the lockdowns and isolations it’s a very different collection of tastes.
Principally it’s the movement away from whites and neutrals surrounded by bright patterns, in favour of a whole range of browns. It’s a warmer, more comforting environment to be in, it feels more natural than the clinical, uninhabited shells of all white homes.
It’s a colour that can be rich, velvety, powerful, and yet also earthy, natural and soft. Truly a colour that belongs in any home, as we come to care far more about the feel of our homes, thanks to our extensive stays indoors.
There’s also a move to not only see a wide spectrum of browns, but to also embrace wood grains in the home, and a rejection of engineered wood as we try and reconnect with nature through real wood and bringing yet more plants into the home.
If there are splashes of colour it’s through softer pastels, as Hygge takes centre field in framing our home sanctuaries, this is especially seen in the growing trend in soft pastels in dining chairs, following on from their popularity in sofas and other soft furnishings as we realise dining doesn’t have to involve rigid seating. We should be comfortable and at peace whilst we dine.
In addition, surfaces inspired by nature are coming in, it’s not just the colours but the touches we long for after so long cut off from the world.
This brings back stone and wood in a great way, the more rustic the better, it just feels real. As we bring more textures into our homes to reignite our senses.
As the 60’s continues to play a centre role in shaping our styles we will see a continued love of the pin leg design, not only functional for easy cleaning but also it invites elegance into the home.
Of course, whatever style you choose to incorporate into your home in 2022, the most important thing is you find a style that sings to your soul, but whatever you do choose to go for, we’re sure that between our solid favourites, and our amazing new ranges, we have something to continue making every home, a beautiful one.
